Dr. Charles McCartha is a native of Tallassee and graduated from Tallassee High School in 1976. He completed his undergraduate work at Auburn University in 1980, graduating with high honors with a BS degree in pre-dentistry/biology. After graduation from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1984, he served on the faculty for four years before returning in 1988 to serve his hometown of Tallassee. Dr. McCartha is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists which is the preeminent honorary dental organization in the world. He is also a member of the ADA and Alabama Dental Association.
Dr. McCartha served as Director of Music Ministries at First United Methodist Church of Tallassee. He is also a published composer of sacred choral music.
He has been active in many community organizations and is currently serving on the board of directors of Community Hospital.

Dr. Mathis graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma State University before completing his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma. His wife Mollie is an accounting professor at Auburn University. In their spare time, they enjoy hiking around Lake Martin, College football weekends and spending time with their one-year old Jackson.
